Prelude: Melancholy of the future, Museum Dhondt-Dhaenens

Description

Prelude: Melancholy of the Future brings together works by artists associated with MDD, either in the past or the future. The exhibition – the last at MDD before the museum’s renovations, until summer 2021 - considers the current challenge of anticipating on a future while the past itself is under scrutiny.

As a benefit exhibition, all works in Prelude: Melancholy of the Future are for sale, in support of the museum, the contributing artists and, in many cases, their galleries. Most works are available directly through the artists or the galleries; a selection will be auctioned by Christie’s on the evening of 14 November.
