William Ludwig Lutgens at 'Inside-Out', Royal Museum of Fine Arts (Belgium)

Description

The visual arts sector was hard hit by the crisis generated by COVID-19. Closure of galleries, absence of exhibitions: a group of artists of different generations, all based in Belgium, was formed through a virtual platform, on the initiative of an artist and an independent curator.

Art Cares Covid allows to present their works, to put them on sale, but also to collect donations for the non-profit organization À Travers les Arts!, supports cultural projects for the elderly. The Royal Museums of Fine Arts of Belgium have decided to offer a showcase for this initiative, which creates a bridge between contemporary creation and the elderly, by inviting the curator, via a "carte blanche", to create an exhibition with these different artists.
