The entirety of Naveau's body of visual work can be seen as a sculpted fairytale world populated by the most diverse forms and constructions, ranging from comic and Wild West figures to exotic masks or art historical reconstructions. Always recognizable but also consistently divergent. The most striking characteristic of her visual oeuvre is its associative nature. All her sculptures, regardless of size, are handmade fantasies in clay. Thus, the artist has been sculpting her own world for years, much like a playing girl surrounded by all sorts of trinkets and odds and ends that she brings together into an imaginary whole.
