Victor Verhelst (BE, °1997) is a Belgian visual artist whose multidisciplinary practice moves fluidly between digital image making, print media, textile installation, and interactive technologies. His work explores the boundaries between the virtual and the physical, examining how digital aesthetics can take on a tangible form.
After cofounding the visual collective Les Monseigneurs, Verhelst left in 2020 to pursue an independent practice. Since then he has collaborated with institutions, brands and festivals including Publiek Park (S.M.A.K.), Kiosk Radio, Bozar, Europalia, Toneelhuis, Us By Night, Core Festival, Design Museum Gent, Kunsthal Mechelen, Volvo, Fritz-Kola, Café Costume, VierNulVier, Kunsthaus NRW and won multiple awards including the Sabato Young Talent 2025 audience award.
Central to his work is an evolving digital world‑building project that began as Trippy Vegas, a hybrid virtual city of hyper‑saturated architecture and surreal urban spaces. Verhelst translates these digital environments into prints, textiles, objects, and installations, exploring how screen‑based images become tactile experiences. He also designs visuals and record sleeves for musicians.
