Exhibition concept
As humans, we are driven to preserve our presence and pass it on to the future. Yet, who or what will carry our memories? Will our current storage methods survive the next generation, or even the next civilisation? The group exhibition Oblivion Was Unavoidable examines the archaeology of the future. Featuring installations, video and photography, the exhibition speculates on lonely technological remains, enigmatic artefacts and the cycle of human existence.
