Exhibition concept
As hu­mans, we are driven to pre­serve our pres­ence and pass it on to the fu­ture. Yet, who or what will carry our mem­o­ries? Will our cur­rent storage methods sur­vive the next gen­er­a­tion, or even the next civil­i­sa­tion? The group ex­hi­bi­tion Oblivion Was Un­avoid­able ex­am­ines the ar­chae­ology of the fu­ture. Fea­turing in­stal­la­tions, video and pho­tog­raphy, the ex­hi­bi­tion spec­u­lates on lonely tech­no­log­ical re­mains, enig­matic arte­facts and the cycle of human ex­is­tence.
